Most think of jewellery, antique dinnerware or even a restored piece of furniture that has been handed down in the family for generations when you talk about family heirlooms. However, for us, the most cherished inheritance is our own family recipes.
For many of our ancestors, meals were their commodity; they were the bond that brought extended families together every week and those recipes often became the family treasures that have continued to define us.

My name is Yen; an Australian and I was born and bred in Singapore with a mixed heritage of Indonesian, Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures.
Family recipes are special ♥
Mumzy never allowed me to help her in the kitchen; neither has she held my hand & taught me how to cook but somehow I learnt. Mumzy learned many traditional recipes from her own mother & aunts.
Since living in Australia, I have now followed in her footsteps, taking those inherited recipes; often putting my own spin on the flavours to present them to a new generation. I often blend my new creations with traditional recipes and adding a touch of modern approach to Asian food from Singapore & Malaysia.
YenzKitchen is all about authentic Asian & Fusion food cooked with love using fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. Our sauces & pastes are all made from scratch. We would like You to experience the goodness of a "home-cooked" meal without the laborious process. Let Mumzy & I do that for you.
We live in #WesternAustralia and I have a huge passion for #cooking & #travelling - using various modes such as the conventional stove top & oven, #Thermomix #TM6, air fryer & a multipurpose rice cooker.
We hope to "take you into our kitchen" for some behind the scenes (BTS) too.
